Here are shots of the new kitchen color and Stinson's room--they both look great! Bob and I were really surprised how much we like this dark color. If you look closely at the kitchen wall photo you'll see the outlines of the fake tile finish that was added at some point. There's at least 4 different layers of paint in there...Anyway, thanks to Sigal for recommending this shade!
As for the rest of the house, all that's left to do now is the trim, and there's a lot of it. Some of the windows are in such poor shape (rot, mold, missing weights and sashes) we were advised to let the crew seal them shut, and then think about replacing all of them in the future...
What's next--getting bids for foundation replacement, seismic retrofit, and porch repairs.
And we move into this house in 12 days!
